Hollander to celebrate 95th birthday Feb. 10
Max Hollander of Fairfield will celebrate his 95th birthday Feb. 10.
Mr. Hollander was born Feb. 10, 1922, in Fairfield and graduated from Fairfield High School in 1939. He married Maizie Berg in 1943 and served with the 843rd Engineer Aviation Army Battalion in Europe from 1943-1946. He and his wife farmed and operated an insurance business in Fairfield for many years.

Max Hollander of Fairfield will celebrate his 95th birthday Feb. 10.
Mr. Hollander was born Feb. 10, 1922, in Fairfield and graduated from Fairfield High School in 1939. He married Maizie Berg in 1943 and served with the 843rd Engineer Aviation Army Battalion in Europe from 1943-1946. He and his wife farmed and operated an insurance business in Fairfield for many years.
He has two daughters: Mary Ann Young and her husband Bill of Des Moines, and Karen Bush of Ankeny. He also has one granddaughter and two great-grandchildren.
