Hometown Harvest searching for potential pumpkin growers
Hometown Harvest of Southeast Iowa is hosting a growers meeting at 5 p.m. Feb. 28 at the Fairfield Public Library.

Jan Swinton at Hometown Harvest has been contacted to help Seneca Foods find farmers who might grow organic pumpkin this season.
Seneca Foods would like to talk to potential pumpkin producers about their new organic food processing in Princeton, Ill., said Swinton.
According to Swinton, Seneca Foods will provide the seed in May, harvesting and trucking in September, and they will pay by the pound.
Three representatives from the new organic food line will be at the meeting to present their proposal and answer any questions from farmers.
