Hospital audit report released

BKD, LLP released an audit report on Washington County Hospital, in Washington.

The hospital's revenues totaled $28,156,085 for the year ended June 30, 2014, a 6 percent increase from the prior year. The revenues included $25,081,308 in net patient revenue, $1,088,112 of other operating revenue, $255,962 from noncapital contributions, $968,696 from property taxes, $731,447 of investment gains and other $30,560.

Expenses for the year totaled $27,048,644, a 10 percent increase from the prior year, and included $15,624,302 for wages and employee benefits, $2,549,775 for medical professional fees and $8,874,567 for other operating and nonoperating expenses including depreciation and interest.
