Houston, Vance engagement announced

Jeff and Paula Houston of Fort Madison announce the engagement of their daughter, Amanda Leigh, to Ross Mathew Vance, son of Tracy and Janet Vance of Fairfield.

The bride-to-be is a 2012 graduate of Fort Madison High School and obtained her Associate of Science degree in Business Administration from Southeastern Community College. She is a licensed cosmetologist and is the owner/stylist at Style by Design in Burlington.

The groom-elect is a 2009 graduate of Fort Madison High School and obtained his Associate of Arts degree at Iowa Central Community College. He is employed by the city of Fairfield Wastewater Department.

The couple will be married Jan. 19 at Madison Baptist Church in Fort Madison.
