Howard and Elsie Jones to celebrate 75th anniversary
Howard R. Jones, 96, and Elsie Ruth Marshall, 95, are celebrating a milestone anniversary in 2023: 75 years of matrimony.
The couple have been together for three-quarters of a century. Their wedding day was Aug. 24, 1948, when they were united in marriage at the United Methodist Church in Washington, Iowa. They have always lived south of Cotter on Howard’s family farm, where they live today with daughter, Jane.
The couple have one grandson, Jason L. Peck (Amie), and two great-grandchildren, Anna Lisa Harriet Peck and Max Richard Peck, of Cedar Rapids.
