Ide gymnastic, trampoline programs starting

The Fairfield Park and Recreation Center is taking registration for Ide Gymnastics gymnastic and trampoline programs.

Both programs begin Nov. 4 and continue through Dec. 6, with each session meeting four times, at Roosevelt Community Recreation Center.

The trampoline program is divided into 10 sessions and the gymnastics program is divided into 11 sessions, each with different meeting times and dates, depending on skill levels and ages.

A boys-only session, with a limit of four participants, is planned for the gymnastics program. Other gymnastics sessions have a limit of eight participants, and the trampoline sessions have a limit of four.

Both programs are structured to help gymnasts develop balance, body positions, flexibility, self-confidence and strength. Skills are taught at a personal level. Participants and parents will be given a handbook of rules and policies.

Jeff Ide, who has more than 30 years of gymnastics experience, is the head coach, with Jeanne Ide and Jeff Lannon as assistant coaches.
