IHCC homecoming begins Sunday

OTTUMWA ? Indian Hills Community College has scheduled a number of events for the college?s annual Homecoming Week, Sunday through Oct. 1.
Activities are designed for students all week long and contests involving five of the college?s athletic teams.
The week will conclude with a host of activities Oct. 1, starting with a good IHCC representation in the annual Ottumwa Oktoberfest parade. A car and motorcycle show from noon to 4 p.m., a free children?s carnival and craft fair from 1-3 p.m., and an alumni and friends? reception from 1-4 p.m. that afternoon on the Indian Hills Ottumwa campus. The IHCC Laser Club will have a cookout from 11 a.m.-4 p.m.
Also Saturday, the Warrior basketball team will hold an open practice at 1 p.m. at the Hellyer Center, the softball team will play home games at 10 a.m., 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. and the annual 5K race and 2-mile walk will be at 5 p.m., preceded by the Hills Challenge.
