IHCC hosts STEM Festival for fifth- to eighth-graders
OTTUMWA ? Hoping to boost student interest and achievement in science, technology, engineering and mathematics, known as STEM, Indian Hills Community College will host a free, family-friendly festival of hands-on STEM activities for fifth- to eighth-graders and their families Tuesday.
The festival will be held from 5-7 p.m. in the Rural Health Education Center on the Ottumwa IHCC campus.

OTTUMWA ? Hoping to boost student interest and achievement in science, technology, engineering and mathematics, known as STEM, Indian Hills Community College will host a free, family-friendly festival of hands-on STEM activities for fifth- to eighth-graders and their families Tuesday.
The festival will be held from 5-7 p.m. in the Rural Health Education Center on the Ottumwa IHCC campus.
Student groups, local businesses and community groups will host a wide variety of hands-on activities including making toothbrush robots, geometry with bubbles, creating a green screen video and more.
The festival is sponsored by the Governor?s STEM Advisory Council South Central Hub, IHCC and Great Prairie Area Education Agency.
