OTTUMWA ? Indian Hills Community College plans to honor a second wave of individuals into its Athletic Hall of Fame.
Nominations are currently being accepted for the second class of inductees.
The HOF was established last year to honor athletes, teams, coaches and other individuals who distinguished themselves with their contributions to Indian Hills, dating back to the years of Centerville Junior College. Those nominated could be individuals who played a significant part in the success Indian Hills teams have had through the years, coaches who made a difference in the lives of their athletes, or supporters of the athletic program. Athletes and coaches are eligible for selection to the Hall of Fame after five years have passed since they last competed or coached at IHCC.
Nomination forms are available at www.indianhills.edu/halloffame. A list of eligibility guidelines can be viewed there. The nomination forms can also be obtained by calling the IHCC Alumni Office at (641) 683-5302. The deadline to return the forms is Nov. 16.
A nine-member selection committee will meet in December to determine the second class of inductees. The induction ceremony will take place at halftime of the Feb. 23 Indian Hills basketball game against Marshalltown Community College.
