Indian Hills Community College awards scholarships to several local students

Four area residents have been awarded Indian Hills Community College (IHCC) Foundation Scholarships for the 2016-2017 academic year.

Dilan Zilliox has received the IHCC Renewable Energy Club Scholarship. Zilliox is a 2015 graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School and is enrolled in the Renewable Energy program at Indian Hills.

Ethan Bockting, Collin Katsion and Austin Meyer will get the IHCC Computer Software Development Club Scholarship. All three are enrolled in the Computer Software Development program and are 2016 high school graduates.

The Indian Hills Foundation was created with the goal of providing scholarships to help deserving students enhance their lives through college education. Since 1975, more than 18,000 IHCC students have been awarded over $16 million in educational assistance.

Last year, 579 students received over $1.2 million in scholarships from the Indian Hills Foundation.
