Chapter J, T.T.T. of Wayland met Tuesday evening, June 28 at the Community Center.
Seven members of our chapter enjoyed time with this season’s camper, Emma, and 10 members of her family. Emma had built a replica of the campsite and shared information about each item on the replica and how it enhanced the camping experience. Ice cream treats were then enjoyed by all.
President Georgia Fort called the business meeting to order following the camper visit. Recording Secretary Tracy Hill read the minutes of the May 24 meeting after taking roll. Camp Chair Joni Huisenga read a note that Emma had written to her from camp. Treasurer Lori Messer gave her report and it was approved and filed for audit.
Motion made and carried to send another monetary donation to the National Project Fund to help cover the cost of the camp furnished by said fund. Joni reported having located the 4th former camper who graduated high school this year and had purchased a gift card and delivered same.
The chapter will be doing a Tip Night at Pizza Ranch in Mt. Pleasant sometime in July.
Chapter By-Laws and Standing Rules were reviewed and accepted. They will be sent to the state parliamentarian for approval. This review is done every five years.
Iowa State President, Barb Brown, will visit Chapter J at the July 26 meeting. We will meet at 6:30 P.M. at Your Choice Restaurant in Wayland. Meeting closed with the Closing Creed.
