Iowa J chapter recognizes 50-year member Cindy Seberg

Iowa J, Wayland, of the National T.T.T. Society met at the Wayland Community Room at 7 p.m. on September 24, 2024 with eight members present.
President Georgia Fort called the meeting to order and Barb Donkersloot led the singing of Sword of Gold. Georgia reported having sent a thank you note to Hannah Dennis for helping our chapter with participation in RAGBRAI. Georgia reported that the chapter’s participation was successful. She thanked all the members who were able to help with this project.
Treasurer’s report was given and filed for audit. The report included proceeds from a Memorial Gift., RAGBRAI, and a Pizza Hut fundraiser.
Georgia reported the expenses of the back to school gift card for this year’s camper, the bus fee to camp, camper T-shirt and the increase in the Camp Fee to National Project Fund per camper sent to T.T.T. Camp.
The Memorial Service was held for our T.T.T. sister Louise Seberg.
Cindy Seberg was recognized for her 50-year membership and presented with the 50-year pin by her daughter, Shelly Duwa.
Members were reminded that October is Election and Installation of Officers for the new T.T.T. year. The next meeting will be October 22, 2024 at 7 p.m. at the Wayland Community Room. Closing Creed was repeated and the meeting adjourned to enjoy refreshments and conversation.
