Iowa Wesleyan honors students

Iowa Wesleyan University in Mt. Pleasant has announced that Fairfield residents Eryn Deprey and Cindee Van Dijk have earned honors through the school's online program by completing at least 12 semester hours of online coursework and maintaining a GPA of 3.5 or better in the academic year of 2019-20.

Iowa Wesleyan University also announced that 69 people graduated this past spring.

'The spring 2020 semester was unique and held many changes, but these 69 graudates still perservered and were determined to graduate from IW during these uncertain times,” the university said in a news release. 'Iowa Wesleyan University invites all 69 graduates to come back to walk at the commencment ceremony on May 1st, 2021 and to choose one of two options to celebrate this fall with Iowa Wesleyan University through the graduation webpage.”

Among the locals who graduated from IW were:

Kelsey Bolin of Mt. Pleasant;

Gabrielle Kemper of New London;

Heather Duncan of Salem;

Rebecca Van Deuren of Mt. Pleasant;

Dawn Sines of New London;

Grace Thomas of Mt Sterling; and

Cindee Van Dijk of Fairfield.
