IWU to play host to Carson, Sanders  Friday, Jan. 29

On Friday, Jan. 29, Iowa Wesleyan University will be the location for two Presidential Campaign rallies.

From 11 a.m. to noon IWU will welcome the Bernie Sanders campaign rally to the Ruble Arena. Doors will open at 10 a.m.

Following an appearance by Sanders, from 6 to 7:30 p.m., Dr. Ben Carson will make an appearance at University Chapel. Doors will open at 4:30 p.m.

The Ruble Arena will be closed to the public beginning at 6:30 p.m., on Thursday night until 4 p.m., on Friday afternoon for event set up and tear down.

Metal detectors will be on site that all attendees must pass through·

Both the small parking lot south of the John Wesley Holland Student Union and the Chapel parking lot will be closed all day Friday. All vehicles will need to be cleared out of those lots by 10 p.m., on Thursday night. All other lots will be open.
