Jackson Clover Kids learn about habitats
Oct. 21, 2021 3:08 pm
The Jackson Clover Kids kicked off the 4-H new year with a fun lesson about habitats and nature.
They used curriculum from Iowa 4-H Clover Kids STEM Lit to Go! and read the book Creekfinding by Iowa author Jacqueline Briggs Martin and Iowa Illustrator Claudia McGehee, then made their own habitats.
Members were engaged and learning. This club is led by volunteer 4-H leaders Jayson and Jessica Keil. There is still room for two more members in this club. Contact the Washington County Extension Office at 319-653-4811 to grab those spots for your kindergarten-3rd grade youth.
Clover Kids is a positive youth development program through Iowa 4-H that invites youth to participate in hands-on learning, make new friends, and connect with a caring adult volunteer monthly.
