James Harlan Chapter of DAR meets in October

James Harlan Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution met Saturday morning, Oct. 26, 2019, at the Mt. Pleasant Veterans' Hall. Twenty-five members attended. Hostesses Becky Wright, Susan Clark, Carol Klopfenstein and Cathy Helman provided refreshments.
Regent Gayle Olson conducted a brief meeting after opening rituals.
President General Denise Doring VanBuren's message was delivered. 'You are one in a million!” DAR approved its millionth member on October 5th.
Main topic of meeting was planning for Wilma Lewis Whitham's upcoming anniversary celebration.
DAR members in attendance: Pat White, Susan Clark, Judy Rawson, Sylvia Ridinger, Chaplain Cathie Schreiner, JoAnn Stout, Janet Mills, Pat Brown, Mary Savage, Vice-Regent Diana Klaus, Margaret Carlson, Carol Messer, Registrar Carol Klopfenstein, Maria Whetsler, Becky Wright, Martha Allen, Waunita Gibbons, Sylvia Blaesing, Charlene Seggerman, Kaleigh Septer, Gayle Olson, Helen See, Lena Schrader, Cathy Helman and Wilma Lewis Whitham.
The next gathering will be at the First United Methodist Church in Fairfield on Nov. 23, 2019. The program will be celebrating Wilma Lewis Whitham's 70th DAR Anniversary and is open to the public.
