Jazz service set Sunday at First Presbyterian Church
First Presbyterian Church in Fairfield is planning a jazz service at 10 a.m. Sunday.
The Rev. Joe Phipps, pastor of the church, will combine scripture and an inspirational message with sacred and secular music performed by a jazz ensemble.

Jazz service set Sunday at First Presbyterian Church
First Presbyterian Church in Fairfield is planning a jazz service at 10 a.m. Sunday.
The Rev. Joe Phipps, pastor of the church, will combine scripture and an inspirational message with sacred and secular music performed by a jazz ensemble.
The jazz ensemble performing the special music for the service includes: Paul Squillo on trumpet, Paul Towner on trombone, Rodger Gillasie and Ken Burns on saxophone, LeAnne Edgeton on piano, Ken Norton on drums, and Gerry Runyon on bass. The group will be under the direction of Jim Edgeton.
The songs to be played include ?The Old Rugged Cross,? ?Let Us Break Bread Together,? ?Blessed Assurance,? ?Down By the Riverside,? and others.
Everyone is invited to attend the service.
Gamma Circle meeting set
Gamma Circle of First Presbyterian Church in Fairfield will meet at 2 p.m. Thursday at SunnyBrook Assisted Living.
Jean Wallace will be hostess. Anne Roth and Marshan Roth will have the devotions and the program.
