JEFFERSON COUNTY FARM BUREAU WOMEN

The Jefferson County Farm Bureau Women met Tuesday at the home of Sandy Nelson.

Thirteen members answered roll call. Members brought items for The Lord?s Cupboard.

After a potluck luncheon, the business meeting was called to order by Phyllis Harris. Carol Messer thanked the group for the change money donated toward the Association of Country Women of the world to support projects. The amount totaled $35.35.

Election of officers was held. Officers for the new year are: calling committee: Christine Schiedel and Wilma Lewis Whitham; historian: Sandy Nelson; secretary: Mary Carol Fish; assistant secretary: Christine Schiedel; vice president: Jeanene Peiffer; co-presidents: Phyllis Harris and Julie Fiske.

The country to be studied next year will be Russia.

Carol Messer and Jeanene Peiffer presented the program on the recent Farm Bureau annual state meeting, held in Des Moines in early December.

The next meeting will be held Jan. 7, with Mary Carol Fish as hostess.
