Jefferson County Park to host Owl Prowl
Iowa owls are pairing up in January, so visitors to Jefferson County Park in Fairfield may hear romance in the air when they explore the woods at night.
The park will host the Owl Prowl on Thursday, Jan. 12 starting at 6 p.m. from the Jefferson County Park Nature Center. Patrons will start by learning the different owl calls of the area, and even do some practice calls, then it’s off for a short hike. Be sure to dress warm!
All ages are welcome for this free event.
