JEFFERSON COUNTY RETIRED SCHOOL PERSONNEL

The Jefferson County Retired School Personnel  met Oct. 25, with 28 members and one guest present, for a noon  luncheon at the McElhinny House.

Dwain Dooley introduced guest speaker Art Sathoff, superintendent of Fairfield Community School District. His talk was followed by a question-and-answer period.

Following the program, co-president Lois Kremer conducted the business meeting. The secretary report was given by Jeanne Erickson. The treasury report was given by Dwain Dooley.

The health report chairwoman reminded the group October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. She stressed the importance early detection.

Don Kramer presented a  certificate of appreciation from the Iowa State Association to Loretta Rinaburger for her term as president of the local group.

Hostesses were Roberta Mattson, Jane Dooley and Cora Guillermo.

The next meeting will be a holiday luncheon  Dec. 7. Comittee  members are Jane Rowe, Jan Reever and Rachel Howell. The program will be given by the Fairfield High School music department.

Members of P.E.O., Chapter MB will meet for dinner at 6:30 p.m. Wedneday at The Oaks of Parkview Care Center.

The program will be a projects update.
