Jefferson County to host Owl Prowl Jan. 14

Iowa owls are pairing up in January, so residents may hear romance in the air when they explore the woods at night.
The Owl Prowl will be held on Thursday, Jan. 14 starting at 6 p.m. from the Jefferson County Park Nature Center. Participants will start by learning the different owl calls of the area and even do some practice calls, then it's off for a short hike. Attendees are encouraged to dress warmly. All ages are welcome for this free event.
