The Jefferson/Van Buren chapter of the Iowa Reading Association will hold its annual ?Author?s Spotlight? at 6 p.m. April 24 at Fairfield Middle School.
Author?s Spotlight is an event designated as a way to recognize the writing talents of young people. The eight second- through ninth-grade winners of the contest are invited to attend and read their winning selection to an audience of parents, teachers, IRA members and other special guests.
Tracy Lovett, an Iowan author/illustrator, also will be speaking.
