Joe and Marde McConnell to celebrate 50th wedding anniversary
Joe and Marde McConnell, of Washington, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Dec. 21, 2018.
Joe McConnell married Marde Anderson on Dec. 21, 1968 at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church in Iowa City. The couple have three children: Katie Lujan, of Washington, Carrie (Uby) Martinez, of North Liberty and Christie (Tyler) Petersen of Norwalk. They have six granddaughters and two grandsons.
They will be taking an anniversary vacation and celebrate with immediate family at a later date.
