The education department of Maharishi University will present the second in a series of colloquia on educational change from 7:45-9:15 p.m. Wednesday in the Festival Hall of the Argiro Center.
The seminar will be ?Stepping Into The Sunlight: The Role of Consciousness-Based Education in Understanding Anything? featuring Christopher Jones, professor of education, dean of teaching and learning and member of the Maharishi School of the Age of Enlightenment Board of Directors. He specializes in training teachers in consciousness-based methods of curriculum, teaching and assessment.
Jones began his career as an English teacher in New Jersey and went on to become a teacher of the Transcendental Meditation technique and gain a doctorate in curriculum and teaching at Columbia University?s Teachers College.
The event is open to the public.
