Future plans: My choice of a college is dependent on if I would like to pursue my track and field career. So, as of now I am in between Mount Mercy University or Kirkwood Community College. How will your high school experiences help you in coming years? I have been very fortunate to have a very successful and involved high school career. Coming from a small town and small school district, being involved has been a big part of my life. I am active in many sports and many clubs. I feel having these opportunities has helped me become more confident in my speaking skills and other skills that I will be able to use outside in the future.
Fondest memory of high school? My fondest high school memory is every state sporting event I have been able to participate in.
Which teachers have had the biggest impact on you and why? I think the two staff members that have had the biggest impact on me are Gaige Gill (high school principal) and Jill Blake. They have both helped me in numerous ways and have always supported me in everything I do. I know I can count on them for anything I need from school work to my personal life. They have both helped grow the person and athlete I am today.
Who is your role model and how did they influence you? My role model is my older sister, Farrah. She has always had an influence on me at a young age and as I've gotten older it has grown even more. She is such a strong and courageous woman. She strives to be great and is someone I aspire to be one day. She has made a great work and personal life for herself and I am forever thankful to call her my sister.
What is special about your high school? My high school is so special because everyone knows each other and supports the success, big or small.
If you could go back to when you were a freshman, what advice would you give yourself? I would tell myself that I am grateful for all the activities I stayed in. I would say that my time spent at WMU was one to remember. I would tell myself not to regret anything and do everything I possibly could. Do not take your high school years for granted. They fly by so fast.
