July farmers markets to feature live music, other entertainment
The Fairfield Farmers Market will continue to offer musical entertainment and family activities during its Saturday markets in July.
To kick off the Fourth of July weekend Saturday, Andy Toepel will play banjo-centric Americana music, and local artist Seth Robertson will give a chainsaw art demonstration.
The July 9 market will feature the Dave Leffler Trio, a Fairfield jazz band.

The Fairfield Farmers Market will continue to offer musical entertainment and family activities during its Saturday markets in July.
To kick off the Fourth of July weekend Saturday, Andy Toepel will play banjo-centric Americana music, and local artist Seth Robertson will give a chainsaw art demonstration.
The July 9 market will feature the Dave Leffler Trio, a Fairfield jazz band.
The market?s annual zucchini celebration is July 16 and will have zucchini car races and the live music of acoustic guitarist Keith DeBoer.
Then, on July 23, bug expert Moni Haynes will be available to answer bug and pest questions, and Amine Kouider will be the musical entertainment.
Josie Overmyer will round out the month with her folk music July 30.
July harvests include: lettuce, cabbage, collards, kale, carrots, beets, chard, snap beans, lima beans, sweet corn and muskmelon. Additionally, the market offers a variety of plants, jellies and jams, and baked goods.
All outdoor markets are located at Howard Park, which is located one block north of the Jefferson County Courthouse. Saturday markets run 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., and Wednesday markets are 3:30-6 p.m.
