Just Peace Outreach Group to host guest speaker Sunday

J-POG, Just Peace Outreach Group, will welcome Adam Fleming for a program Sunday at West Union Mennonite Church in Parnell. Fleming will talk on “Making Peace through Listening.”

Fleming is the CEO of Evergreen Leaders. He has been a leadership coach since 2009 and a coaching skills trainer. Fleming has lived in Congo and Egypt and has developed coach training curriculum for a number of nonprofits.

Fleming will describe his activities helping people in Syria and Egypt rebuild families, businesses and churches after a variety of disruptions in civil society. Training groups bring Armenian Orthodox and Catholic Christians together around a curriculum designed to help nonprofit groups coach their leaders in rebuilding their organizations.

Residents are invited to come at 6 p.m. for informal discussion and a finger foods potluck (bring your own table service). Fleming’s presentation will begin at 7 p.m. Time for questions will follow.
