Kalona City Council to meet

The Kalona City Council will meet at 7 p.m., Monday, May 2, at city hall.

Items on the agenda include: a public hearing at 7 p.m. on the budget amendment for the 2015-16 fiscal year, resolution amending the current budget for the 2015-16 fiscal year, further discussion of community center project, second/final reading of ordinance amending the code of ordinances of the City of Kalona by amending Chapter 99.02 in regard to sewer and water rates, approval of the non-recyclable and recyclable solid waste collection contract agreements, consideration of an ordinance amending the code of Kalona by amending the provision regarding recycling service rates, consideration of street projects and setting a bid-letting date for Monday, June 6, and consideration of projects for the Kalona area from the watershed.
