Kaskas celebrating 65th wedding anniversary

Ardell and Lyola Kaska of rural Fairfield will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary with a family dinner April 20 at their home.

Ardell Kaska and Lyola Peiffer were married April 20, 1949, at the St. Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church in the Clear Creek Township of Keokuk County, with the Rev. Nicholas Peiffer presiding.

Mr. Kaska is a farmer, and Mrs. Kaska is a housewife. They have 10 children: Bob Kaska and wife Chris of Fairfield; Bill Kaska of Decorah; Don Kaska and wife Jackie of Fairfield; Mary Ann Skaggs and husband Mike of Robins; Chuck Kaska and wife Cathy of Fairfield; Carol Stonebraker of Hollywood, Fla.; Joan Ruess and husband Fred of Golden, Colo.; Susan Rumer and husband Dale of Walford; Darlene Schultz and husband Chip of Kansas, City, Mo.; and Jim Kaska and wife Laura of Fairfield. The couple also has 26 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
