Kay Trager celebrates 50 years at West Bank

Kay Trager celebrated 50 years at West Bank in West Des Moines on June 26, 2022. To commemorate this incredible achievement, dessert and refreshments were served on Wednesday, June 29 in the David Miller Room at Main Bank.

Family members attending were her brother, Ed Anderson of Nashua and his grandson, Toby Walsten of Waterloo.

Kay is the daughter of Arvid and Joan Anderson of Crawfordsville.

Visitors

Omar and Mary Jane Troyer of North Port, FL. visited her sister, Opal Reschly Monday through Thursday.

White Cloud Club

White Cloud Club members and one guest met for their Annual Club Potluck in the Fellowship Hall at the United Church of Crawfordsville at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, August 7, 2022. Virginia Sands served as hostess.

Following a bountiful supper, members shared what they had been doing since the July meeting. Several reported trips they had been on, as well as daily activities, including attending local county fairs.

Vice President Pat Miller opened the business meeting and Betty Lintz read the Secretary and Treasurer reports from the July meeting. There was no old business. New Business included sharing two birthday gifts. The club received updates from club members Joyce Huff and Pauline Richardson. The next meeting will be the Annual Club Tour, which will be held on Tuesday, September 6, 2022. Plans are being finalized and members will be updated on tour plans later.

Those attending were Betty Lintz, Pat Miller, Margeret Patterson and Virginia Sands, along with guest, Gene Miller, who received a special thank you for sharing homemade ice cream.

The evening concluded with a thank you to hostess, Virginia Sands.

Ingathering Items: Local Church activities

It is time to gather items for the Ingathering Kits that are sent to Midwest Missions. There are Personal Dignity Kits such as : Kand Towels, Washcloths, Toothbrushes, Bar Soap, Shampoo, Deodorant and Student Kits, which consist of Notebooks, Ruler, Pencils, Pencil Sharpener, Colored Pencils, Crayons, Erasers and student Scissors. Lists and descriptions of exact items may be found on the table in the Narthex.
