Kids Against Hunger packing event set

First Christian Church will be holding its fourth Kids Against Hunger food packing event Sunday.

Pizza and snacks will be available at 1 p.m., and packing will begin at 2 p.m. Packing sessions last approximately two hours, and all are invited to join in the time of work, fun and fellowship.

A goal to package 8,000 meals has been set for this session.

First Christian Church has held three packing sessions since May 2010, and since then the church has managed to package 24,942 meals through the endeavor. The church also now has its own packing equipment, and was recently designated as an official ?wing unit? of southeast Iowa, with Brighton being the area headquarters.
