Kids? Day pedal pull winners announced

The annual Fairfield Kiwanis Kids? Day activities Saturday included a Kiddie Pedal Pull.

In this event, children pedal a small tractor as they pull a sled modeled after the tractor pull sleds seen at county and state fairs in the midwest.

This year, a record of 101 children from a wide area of southeast Iowa and northeast Missouri participated. The top two winners of each age class are eligible to enter the next level of competition. The following are winners for each age class:

6-Year Olds ? 1st Antonio Manning, Fairfield; 2nd Isaac Wardlow, Kahoka, Mo.; 3rd Kaden Cook, Fairfield.

7-Year Olds ? 1st Kayla Reinier, Fairfield; 2nd Ellie Shepard, Fairfield; 3rd Neva Giberson, not listed.

8-Year Olds ? 1st Logun Cline, Fairfield; 2nd Katie Wardlow, Kahoka, Mo.; 3rd Nemo Brown, Richland.

9-Year Olds ? 1st Trapper Krabill, M ountPleasant; 2nd Yana Gaskill, Fairfield; 3rd Ana Westphal, Lockridge.

10-Year Olds ? 1st Ethan Diephuis, Farmington; 2nd Jaboc Scotton, Fairfield; 3rd Miles Gerleman, Lockridge.
