Kirby Booton named district Coach of Year

Mt. Pleasant girls? golf coach Kirby Booton was named District Coach of the Year for the 2017 season after his rookie year of coaching the Panthers.
Booton was hired in 2016 after the departure of long-time head coach Jim Kelly.
The Panthers placed seventh at the Class 4A state tournament, even after losing two scorers from their 2016 team.

Mt. Pleasant girls? golf coach Kirby Booton was named District Coach of the Year for the 2017 season after his rookie year of coaching the Panthers.
Booton was hired in 2016 after the departure of long-time head coach Jim Kelly.
The Panthers placed seventh at the Class 4A state tournament, even after losing two scorers from their 2016 team.
Mt. Pleasant was second in the Southeast Conference tournament this year and one of two teams to compete at the state tourney. They also finished in the top 10 in the final Class 4A rankings.
