Kiwanis AMers
The Kiwanis AMers met at 6:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 19, in the Y's Men's Room at the Y, with 21 members, five members of the Builders Club and two children in attendance.
President Matt Brown reminded the club that programs are needed for October.
An interclub attended the Rotary dinner.
Curt Mayer reported the Aviation Day was canceled.
Builders Club will charge members $1 for hat day.

Brian Blodgett reported the Highway Cleanup will be held Oct. 18, with breakfast at 7 a.m. at HyVee, and the cleanup at 8 a.m.
The program was given by Chad Dolan, fisheries biologist with the Department of Natural Resouces. On Sept. 17, 1950, Lake Darling was dedicated and on Sept. 17, 2014, Lake Darling was rededicated. Chad gave a presentation on the lake's namesake, Jay "Ding" Norwood Darling. A world-famous conservationist and two-time Pulitzer Prize recipient, he was the first chairman of the Iowa Fish and Game Commission, which eventually was renamed the Department of Natural Resources.
