The Kiwanis AMers met on Friday, Oct. 17, at the Washington Y. Nineteen members were present and seven Builders Club member, and Sam, Chance, Caleb, Kaylin, and Addie.
President Curt Mayer reported the budget had been approved. An interclub was scheduled for Builders on Oct. 17. Brian Blodgett reported that the highway cleanup was schedule for Oct. 18, with breakfast at HyVee at 7 a.m. and the project at 8 a.m. ...

The Kiwanis AMers met on Friday, Oct. 17, at the Washington Y. Nineteen members were present and seven Builders Club member, and Sam, Chance, Caleb, Kaylin, and Addie.
President Curt Mayer reported the budget had been approved. An interclub was scheduled for Builders on Oct. 17. Brian Blodgett reported that the highway cleanup was schedule for Oct. 18, with breakfast at HyVee at 7 a.m. and the project at 8 a.m. Pat Smith and Curt have tickets for the Old Capitol chili supper on Nov. 5 at the Moose Lodge. Richard Crull said he had raffle tickets for the American Legion Riders fundraiser.
Lonny Milligan has started the process for the club's Secret Santz project. The Riverboat Casino Foundation has awarded a $2,000 matching fund grant for the project.
The program was given by the Washington High School Art Club. They are raising funds for a trip to France and Spain next summer.
The Oct. 24 program will be presented by Matt Brown. Kevin Erpelding signed up to be the greeter. Members and their spouses with upcoming birthdays include Denise Preston on Oct. 31, Bob Preston on Nov. 16, Curt Mayer on Nov. 23, and Angela Iles on Nov. 23. Bob Preston has an anniversary on Nov. 9.
The club met on Oct. 24, with 24 members present, seven Builders, and guests Courtney Paul, Sam and Tatum. An interclub (5) attended Builders on Oct. 17 and they had a pizza party. Blodgett reported that seven members, seven Builders and three children helped with the Highway Cleanup on Oct. 18.
The program was given by Jan Gallagher and Bob Youngquist. They presented a video and an update on the new WHS auditorium. Pledges and donatons total about $5.8 million and they need to raise $350,000.
