Kleese reunion held in West Chester

The 90th Kleese reunion was held July 17 at the West Chester Heritage Building.

President Karla Maxwell welcomed the group and Pastor Rick Osborn blessed the food and assembled before the cooperative meal.

Kleese Historian Patricia Dusenbery reported one marriage; two births and three deaths. Jon Thomas, age 7, was the youngest member present. Patricia Dusenbery was the oldest. The Wright family traveled the least and Rick and Brenda Osborn of Florida traveled the farthest. Wilma Wright and Patricia Dusenbery have attended the most reunions.

Correspondence from Twitchells, Frohadts; Dillon’s and Zimmerman families was shared. Family memorabilia was displayed for members to enjoy. Terry Griffith was elected President; Gina Hill, Vice President; Ruth Maddalozzo, Secretary; Patricia Dusenbery remains family Historian.

For 2023, the reunion will be held the third Sunday in July in Washington, Iowa.

Family were informed of the condition of the Kleese Family Homestead near West Chester.
