Lake Darling deer hunt scheduled for Dec. 7, 8
Lake Darling State Park is holding an anterless deer hunt Dec. 7 and 8, in an effort to maintain the deer population in the park area.
The hunt is open to Iowa residents using only shotguns firing slugs of 10, 12, 16 or 20 gauge, or muzzle loading rifles or muskets firing a single projectile between a .44 and .775 caliber. Handguns are not allowed.
License applications will be available on a first come, first ...

Lake Darling State Park is holding an anterless deer hunt Dec. 7 and 8, in an effort to maintain the deer population in the park area.
The hunt is open to Iowa residents using only shotguns firing slugs of 10, 12, 16 or 20 gauge, or muzzle loading rifles or muskets firing a single projectile between a .44 and .775 caliber. Handguns are not allowed.
License applications will be available on a first come, first serve basis beginning at 8 a.m. Thursday at the South East District Office, 110 Lake Darling Road, Brighton, 52540. Licenses can be applied for in person or mailed to the address above. Applications must include a payment of $28.50 if this is a first anterless tag.
