Last UMW meeting of 2018

Nine members of the West Chester UMW and Pastor Colorado Moody met at the United Presbyterian Home dining room on Tuesday, Dec. 4. The lunch was hosted by Jeaniene Dusenbery and Pat Dusenbery.

Following lunch, a brief business meeting was held. Meniutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. Doris Fisher gave the treasurer's report. Business items included a brief review of the weighted lap blanket project to be completed in May, under the direction of Lolita Brinning and Marsha Patterson.

As a thank you to Steve Soanson, guest speaker at the November meeting, it was decided to make a contribution to the Heifer Project in the name, with the purchase of a water buffalo.

Anita Miller shared a devotional reading, 'Morning with Jesus.”

Following the meeting, the group visited West Chester residents residing at the UP Home: Masion Cuddeback, Bill Dusenbery, Pat Dusenbery, Jeaniene Dusenbery and Dave Brinning. They also visited Jim Deao and Gerald DeLong at McCreedy Home.

Pastor Moody will be presented with a fruit basket.

The next meeting with be in May 2019.
