Lessons, Carols planned Sunday in Mount Pleasant

MOUNT PLEASANT ?The Iowa Wesleyan College Choir and Mount Pleasant Chorale will present ?Amazing Peace: A celebration of Christ?s birth in song and word,? a service of Lessons and Carols, at 7 p.m. Sunday at the First United Methodist Church in Mount Pleasant.

The groups are under the direction of Bradley Miller, assistant professor of music at Iowa Wesleyan College.

Highlights of the concert include performances of Paul Manz?s ?E?en So, Lord Jesus, Quickly Come,? ?Domine Deus? from John Rutter?s ?Gloria? and Gustaf Nordqvist?s ?Wonderful Peace.?

The evening will include candle-lighting and the singing of carols.

A reception will follow in the church Fellowship Hall.

A $5 donation is requested at the door.
