BONAPARTE ? ?Let?s Wine about Winter? together over dinner, drinks and music Feb. 13 at the Whiteley Opera House in Bonaparte.
Bonaparte Main Street is hosting the event.
Doors open at 5:30 p.m., and the sit-down meal will begin promptly at 6 p.m., with music afterward. Seating is limited, so reservations are required.
A great opportunity to celebrate Valentine?s Day, this annual candlelight event will include a three- course meal: tossed salad of vegetables and poppy seed dressing, sesame pork with garlic cream sauce, party potatoes, scalloped corn, homemade rolls and butter and chocolate angel dessert.
The tables will be set with a Valentine theme by local women bringing in their own linens, china, crystal, silverware and centerpieces.
Music will be provided by Joyful Sounds of Burlington. Karen and Don Brownlee have been sharing music of joy for 25 years and will present a program ?Heart to Heart? for the audience. Don Brownlee plays acoustic or electric guitar while Karen Brownlee, on the keyboard, provides a full orchestra or piano accompaniment and occasionally adds a fiddle or violin. They play many favorite tunes and interactwith the audience.
East Grove Farms will provide wine tasting and wine for sale to drink with the meal or take home. East Grove Farms specialize in organically grown alternative crops such as elderberries, aronia berries, and other native heirloom fruits and are situated on Iowa?s oldest continuously settled farm established by Joel C. Garretson in 1837.
The cost is $25 per person.
To make reservations or for more information, contact the nonprofit Bonaparte Main Street office at 319-592-3400.
