The Fairfield Public Library announces another free film will be shown Friday.
The storyline of the film is as follows: toward the end of World War II, a group of German officers, including Claus von Stauffenberg, plotted a coup to assassinate Adolph Hitler and seize power of the military command in order to end the war. While the operation was detailed and passionately carried out, it ultimately failed when launched July 20, 1944. The planning and execution of the mission is presented in impressive fashion in this epic film starring Tom Cruise.
The doors open at 7:15 p.m., and the feature film begins at 7:30 p.m. The film is free, and $1 organic popcorn sales help the library to renew its movie license.
Although the license prevents disclosure of the title in this announcement, full details are available in the library?s calendar at www.fairfield.lib.ia.us or call the library at 472-6551.
