Library plans Festival of Pumpkins
The Washington Public Library will be hosting the first Festival of Pumpkins, Oct 6-23. Patrons may bring a pumpkin into the library painted as a favorite book character, or decorated in any other creative way from Oct 6-9. The pumpkin creations will be on display throughout the library until Oct. 23, and will be judged by library patrons. Winners to be announced October 24.

Any pumpkins that aren't picked up, will be displayed outside the library for Trick or Treat Around the Square and disposed of immediately following the event.
The contest is open to all ages.
