The Washington Public Library would like to host a community downtown event as part of the 175th celebration, and we need your help. All you need to do is bring your favorite book and enjoy some time reading on our bench in front of the library. Readers can register for a half-hour slot or longer. Area downtown businesses from each side of the square will be registering readers as well. Participants can register to read on as many benches as they like.
The event will be held on June 3, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The library will need at least 16 people to cover the hours spent reading on the bench.
