The Fairfield Public Library continues its children?s summer programs with the ?One World, Many Stories? summer reading program and story times next week.
The summer reading program will be 2-3 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday. The Tuesday session is for kindergartners through third-graders and will be a video of Africa presented by Jean Dorothy. The Wednesday session is for fourth- through eighth-graders, and Dr. Ray Woody will present a program on a 2008 trip to Uganda.
Preschool Campfire Story Time, for ages 3-6, will be 7-7:45 p.m. Tuesday.
In addition, the library is presenting a free movie for children entitled ?Inkheart? at 1-3 p.m. Thursday.
In ?Inkheart,? Meggie?s father Mo has the power to bring characters to life just by reading books aloud. When he sets free nasty characters from a medieval story, though, it is up to Meggie to join a group of friends to set things right.
The movie, rated PG, stars Brendan Fraser, Paul Bettany and Kathy Bates.
All children are welcome to the viewing of ?Inkheart,? but preschoolers to 7-year-olds must be accompanied by an adult.
All programs will take place in the library?s meeting room, and registration is not necessary for any of the programs.
For information regarding the programs, contact Dorothy at 472-6551 or jdorothy@fairfield.lib.ia.us.
