Hold a piece of candy to a child. What do you expect? That they will come.
Have you ever seen a child who refused to come? Perhaps the child is fearful or shy, angry or stubborn.
The child only needs to come.
The adult may even move toward the child. Then the child can receive the gift without coming.
Still, the child must reach out to receive the prize.
So it is with God.
He waits with hands full.
