The Little Hawk Clover Kid Club was busy at its February meeting. Members rotated to several different hands-on project workshops. They could select from stained glass art, a totally tubular bracelet, dry-erase picture frame and a crayon resist magnet.
Several 4-H members from the Kalona Klassics and Green Acres 4-H Club assisted the younger members at the hands-on stations. Clover Kids also had the opportunity to visit with adult volunteers about their projects similar to a judging situation.
Clover Kids is a fun 4-H program for children in kindergarten-to third-grade to participate in hands-on activities designed to build many life skills. Sarah Rodgers and Jenni Hershberger are the volunteer leaders for the Little Hawk Clover kids with the assistance of Casey Peck. If interested in helping this growing club for the Wellman and Kalona area as a leader, please contact Amy at the Washington County Extension Office at 319-653-4811.
