On May 14, the Taco Bell Foundation is awarding more than $4.5 million in Live Más Scholarships to 531 employees and youth to help students pursue their passions through education. Designed to help innovators and creators aged 16-24 pursue unique passions that may not necessarily fit into the traditional 'academic” or 'athletic” scholarship categories, this year's program drew more than 12,000 submissions. Scholarships range from $5,000-$25,000 per student and contribute to the Foundation's goal of awarding $21 million by 2021.
The local Washington KFC/Taco Bell awarded one of its employees, David Amos, with $5,000 for school to pursue his passion. David has been a KFC/Taco Bell team member for the last nine months and plans to use the $5,000 scholarship to pursue his passion of Computer Science at Indian Hills Community College.
