Local families gather for Christmas

On Saturday afternoon and evening, Dec. 23, Don and Ruchel Hiller, along with Nick and Leslie Duvall, Isabelle, Quincy and Pierce enjoyed playing games, visiting and opening gifts, along with supper at the home of Mickey Blum in West Chester, celebrating Christmas.

DAVIS FAMILY CHRISTMAS

The descendants of Henry and Betty Davis met for their annual Christmas Eve get together at the Crawfordsville American Legion Hall.

Games and visiting began at 2 p.m. Santa showed up at 3:30 and handed out presents to the ones that had been good boys and girls the whole year.

A potluck meal of ham and various soups and all the party mix and goodies you could want were served. Time was spent visiting and playing games. At 7 p.m., several went to the United Church of Crawfordsville's Christmas Eve service, which is also an annual tradition.

Pleasant; Angela Davis and Chris and Chayse McClain of Washington; Steve and Pam Davis, Eric and Jessica Davis, Javan, Jaxon and Jada, Kim and Henry Farrell all of Crawfordsville; Jerry and Mindy Driscoll, Blaine, Wyatt, Olivia and Lily of Williamsburg; Eric and Arial Harvey of Washington; Randy and Jill DeYarman of Cedar Rapids; Sanford and Nancy Rugg of Crawfordsville and Chelsea and Clarissa Rugg of Washington.

David and Zola Cerka and Jolleen Cerka joined other family members on Christmas Day at the home of David Cerka II and Veronica in Cedar Rapids.

Rex and LeAnn Felts hosted the following guests on Christmas: Dorothy Sands, Virginia Sands, and Roy and Amanda Felts and Izzy, all of Crawfordsville and David and Pryncess Felts, Evan and Samuel of Center Point, and Ryan and Krissy Felts and Grayce of Arena, WI.

Christmas guests of Doug and Carol Steele were Carmen Steele of Omaha, NE., Doug and Carrie Wilkerson and Emma and friend, Kaden of Center Point and Cory and Katie Steele, Kylee and Clayton of Crawfordsville.

Joe and Alice Hochstetler and Lara Hochstetler returned Tuesday evening from a holiday visit with family in Indiana. They were at the home of their son, J.B. and Carla Hochstetler, Noah, Greta and Mussie in Syracuse for a Christmas gathering on Saturday, the 23rd. They were joined by son, Tim and Kim Hochstetler, Alena, Bennett and Corina from Goshen and their daughter and family, Ilona and Matt Roberts and Grady from Milford.

On Sunday they attended services at the Vine in Elkhart and also at Restore in Goshen (the kid's home churches.)

Monday most went to the movies and played card games.

Ilona Roberts and Grady came home with the Hochstetlers, and will visit until New Year’s Day.
