The Lord?s Cupboard, of Jefferson County, is proud to partner with Hy-Vee to host Thanksgiving in July, a community-wide hunger-relief drive.
Thanksgiving in July will be held from Saturday, July 16 to Sunday, July 24, 2016. All cash and food donations will be given to the Lord?s Cupboard, to help low-income families in need of food assistance.
Thanksgiving in July provides an opportunity for individuals, businesses, civic, and faith organizations throughout the community to come together for our neighbors. The focus of the Drive is primarily to raise cash donations, because The Lord?s Cupboard can purchase food at deeply reduced prices, therefore stretching each dollar donated. Food donations may also be dropped off at The Lord?s Cupboard weekday afternoons. All donations should be non-perishable, and canned or packaged food, which has not expired.
The following are a list of community events and locations where donations may be made:
Fairfield Hy-Vee ? Hy-Vee check-out lanes will have donation containers ready for your cash or check donations Saturday, July 16 through Sunday, July 24.
Fairfield Hy-Vee Grill - The Hy-Vee Gas station will host grill-outs on Friday, July 22 and Saturday, July 23, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m, with a portion of all proceeds going to The Lord?s Cupboard.
Fairfield Community Band Concert ? Bring cash donations to the Fairfield Community Band Concert on Tuesday, July 19, at 8 p.m. Lord?s Cupboard volunteers will be on hand to ?pass the hat? for cash donations.

-Libertyville Savings Bank, in Fairfield and Libertyville
-Pilot Grove Savings Bank, in Fairfield and Packwood
-Midwest One Bank
