Murphy Funeral Home and Monuments, in Mt. Pleasant, is investing back into the local community in order to promote saving lives.
Through the generosity of Murphy Funeral Home owner, Jeff Murphy, local citizens may now download the Vital ICE App free of charge.
This app allows users to store their contact information, emergency contacts, allergies, current medications, medical history and a copy of their insurance card securely on their phone or mobile device, which medical and emergency personnel can access in the event of an emergency. The app also provides a one-touch dial of 911 with GPS tracking that can better help first responders locate you during an emergency situation. In addition, the app can be used to set up reminders of when to take medications.
According to Jeff Murphy, Murphy Funeral Home is making this potentially life-saving app available to local Henry County residents for free as a way of showing their gratitude for allowing Murphy Funeral Home to serve the local community.
Interested parties may download the Vital ICE App from the Apple App Store, Google Play or at www.vitalboards.com/downloadapp. Enter code 4713 when prompted.
For more information about the Vital ICE App and its features, contact Murphy Funeral Home at 408 North Broadway St., in Mt. Pleasant, or via phone at 319-385-4713.
